Applications are being accepted for two postdoctoral research positions in the Quantum Enabling System Technologies (QuEST) group (https://quest.ku.edu.tr/) of Professor Ozgur E. Mustecaplioglu at Koc University. Both positions will primarily involve theoretical studies of quantum thermodynamical properties of systems for specific applications.More information
A postdoctoral researcher position is available in the in the Laboratory of Centrosomes, Cilia and Microtubules at Koç University. The central questions behind our work is understanding how centrosomes and cilia are assembled, maintained and dynamically altered during cell cycle, as well as elucidating what goes awry in diseases associated with abnormalities in centrosome/cilium complex. We take a multidisciplinary approach to address these questions, combining genomic, proteomic, biochemical and cell biological methods.More information
Applicants are invited for a postdoctoral position in microphotonics and integrated photonics at the Koç University Microphotonics Research Laboratory. The candidate should have strong background in lasers and photonics. The successful candidate will conduct experimental research in free space and guided wave laser spectroscopy in collaboration with an international team of scientists and engineers. The salary is competitive and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.More information
Two postdoc, two PhD students and one technician positions are now available for different subprojects within a recently awarded ERC Starting Grant project. The overall aims of these projects are to study the biogenesis and function of the centrosome/cilium complex by focusing on their regulation of the underappreciated structures termed centriolar satellites.More information
KOC University is currently seeking a full time EM (Electron Microscopy) Specialist for Electron Microscopy Laboratory located in Rumeli Feneri Campus. This person will be responsible for the preparation and analysis of samples using aberration-corrected Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and Focused Ion Beam/Phase Contrast Microscope (FIB/SEM).More information
A postdoctoral researcher position is open in the Laboratory of Metabolism and Cancer at Koç University. Available projects address metabolic impacts of tumors on host tissues. Laboratory of Metabolism and Cancer utilizes molecular biology approaches, primary cell culture techniques, mouse tumor models and clinical sample analysis to dissect molecular mechanisms behind tumor signaling to adipose and skeletal muscle tissues.More information
