Assoc. Prof. Elif Nur Fırat Karalar from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics received her 2nd ERC starting grant to study Spatiotemporal regulation of centriolar satellite homeostasis.

The results of TÜBİTAK 2566- National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Bilateral Cooperation Call of 2022 have been announced.

Research led by Asst. Prof. Serkan Kır, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, which studies ways to prevent muscle loss that significantly impacts the quality of life in cancer patients, has been published in Nature Magazine.

We are delighted to share that Prof. Halil Kavaklı, head of the Molecular Biology and Genetics Department and Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering, has been honored with the 2023 Elginkan Foundation Technology Award. This recognition is attributed to Prof. Kavaklı’s technological approach to increase apoptosis (programmed cell death) in cancer cells by targeting the molecular circadian rhythm.

Prof. Halil Kavaklı, head of the Molecular Biology and Genetics Department and Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering, has received the prestigious TÜSEB Aziz Sancar Science Award in 2022, for his outstanding research on DNA repair and circadian rhythm.

The Mathematics Foundation announced that the 2022 Ikeda Research Award has been awarded to Asst. Prof. Asgar Jamneshan from Mathematics Department. We wholeheartedly congratulate his exceptional achievement.
