The Department of Mathematics at Koç University, a leading foundation supported, non-profit institution of higher education in Istanbul, Türkiye, invites applications for post-doctoral positions starting in September 2020. The appointment will be for one year with a possible extension to three years. Successful candidates should demonstrate strong potential for excellence in research in one of the active research areas of the department, which include algebraic geometry, combinatorics, geometric topology, mathematical physics, number theory, numerical analysis, partial differential equations, probability and stochastic processes, compressive sensing, inverse problems and imaging. The duties of the appointment include research and teaching. In particular, successful candidates are expected to teach three courses in the mathematics curriculum per academic year. The medium of instruction is English. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience. The compensation package includes a comprehensive health insurance plan and partial rental subsidy.
