Double Major Requirements

Admission is subject to the general rules of the university and the decision of the College of Arts and Sciences. For a successful completion of the program, the students should pass the following courses maintaining a GPA of 2.8 or higher.

To complete the double major with Math, you need to take 8 Math courses in addition to the Calculus series (4 courses). The detailed list is as follows:

**Math 106 (or Math 102)**, Calculus**Math 107**, Introduction to Linear Algebra**Math 203**, Multivariable Calculus**Math 204**, Differential Equations

**Math 205**, Algebra I**Math 208**, Advanced Calculus**Math 301**, Real Analysis I**Math 320**, Linear Algebra**Math 401**, Complex Analysis

**3 Math 200 level and above mathematics area courses. Math 201, 202, 211, 303, independent study and honors project courses cannot satisfy area elective requirements.**

To complete a minor degree with Math, you need to take 6 Math courses. The requirement is as follows:

**Math 205**, Algebra I**Math 208**, Advanced Calculus**Math 301**, Real Analysis I**Math 320**, Linear Algebra

**2 Math 200 level and above (with the exception of Math 103) mathematics area courses. Math 103 satisfies the area elective requirement for the mathematics minor program. Math 201, 202, 203, 204, 211, independent study and honors project courses cannot satisfy area elective requirements.**
